Lemon Supreme
1970s Lemon Supreme from Mamaw (Michael R. Mannix Jr.’s Grandmother)
Step 1
Mix:
2 cups self-rising flour
2 sticks butter, melted
1 cup pecan meal—can’t find? Grind your own in blender or food processor.
½ teaspoon Mannix Ground Vanilla
Press in glass pan (9x12 inch) and bake 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Step 2
Mix:
8 oz. cream cheese
½ cup powdered sugar
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup Mannix Vanilla sugar
½ container Cool Whip
Pour over cooled crust.
Step 3
Mix:
2 packages lemon instant pudding with 3 cups whole milk until slightly thickened. Spoon over crust.
Cover with remaining Cool Whip. Sprinkle ¼ cup of pecan meal on top. Refrigerate at least three hours.
